How to Request Roadside Assistance
Roadside Assistance is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For service, just call 1-800-AAA-HELP (1-800-222-4357) or through its Roadside Assistance Online Request Form. Each year, members call this number over 29 million times. AAA provides up to four service calls per membership year.
You should have the following information ready when you call:
Your AAA membership number.
2. The vehicle's year, make, license number and color.
3. The exact location of the disabled vehicle (nearest cross streets).
4. The type of problem you are experiencing.
The AAA emblem helps our providers locate your vehicle, so we recommend that you display it on the rear bumper of your vehicle. Need an emblem? Stop by any Branch Office, or request a new AAA emblem here.
If your membership number is not available, the Club will attempt to verify your membership and authorize service. (If available, a valid card is to be presented to the service provider upon his arrival.) If the Club cannot verify your membership, service will be provided to you on a commercial basis. Upon submission of the original receipt to the Club and a verification of membership, the Club will provide reimbursement based on the service a member is entitled to under the provisions of membership.
The service provider will attempt to make minor mechanical adjustments in order to get the vehicle back to driving condition. If the vehicle cannot be made operable after service is provided, you can arrange a tow with the Club - choosing either to be towed to the AAA service facility that responded to your call or the destination of your choice. For more details, please see the Understanding Your AAA Roadside Assistance Benefits page.
If your vehicle becomes operational before the service truck arrives, please call and cancel your request. This will allow the driver to go on to his next call and assist another stranded member.
Roadside Assistance is designed to help members whose vehicles have become disabled as a result of unavoidable circumstances. Abuse of service may be cause for membership cancellation.
